Welcome! If you’re just starting developing with Nova, here’s an overview of everything you need to get up and running
Overview
Nova accelerates your development workflow by providing tested, reusable components from an Elia Group-approved stack. Stop reinventing basic elements and eliminate guesswork; our matching design and code APIs let you build pixel-perfect interfaces fast, freeing you to focus on solving complex business problems.
The ecosystem
When you hear people talking about Nova, it’s important to know that it is more than just a single library or documentation site.
Nova is an evolving design system for Elia Group that establishes a common design language. It provides an integrated, brand-aligned system—including libraries for designers, developers, and accompanying documentation —which in turn provides the foundation for creating consistent, reusable, and high-quality products.
Explore the Foundations
Nova is built on a design language inherited from Elia Group's brand guidelines. This language defines our core foundations, such as colours, spacing tokens, and type tokens.
For developers, learning these foundations is a smart investment. Understanding why these elements exist helps you make more informed decisions, while using them directly reduces the need for custom CSS, speeds up implementation, and maintains a consistent Elia Group brand experience—all while simplifying future upgrades.
Installation and setup
Nova provides official support for Angular, Blazor, React, Vue.js, Webcomponent (Vanilla), and Microsoft's WPF.
All developer documentation, including installation guides, component references, and usage guidelines, is centralized directly within the dedicated Storybook for each framework. Head over to the Storybook for your chosen technology to get started.
