Accessibility principles
Elia Group sees accessibility as an integrated part of design and development. To make sure our websites and digital products are accessible to everyone, we follow the four principles of accessibility from the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) international standard :
Perceivable
Users must be able to perceive the information and interface components being presented. It must take all the senses into consideration.
Operable
Users must be able to operate the interface. The interface components and navigation must not require interaction that a user cannot perform.
Understandable
Users must be able to understand the information and how the user interface operates. The content or operation must not be beyond their understanding.
Robust
Users must be able to access the content as technologies advance. As technologies and user agents evolve, the content should remain accessible.
UX/UI principles
User eXperience (UX) bridges the gap between end users and Elia Group products and services. UX ensures that solutions meet user needs through empathy, standardized tools and methods. The goal of UX is to discover and solve issues to provide a great user experience while serving the company vision (business goals and needs).
Consistency
Centralize expertise and grow awareness throughout the Elia Group. Reduce the risk of human error for operators working on critical applications.
Efficiency
Ensure applications, services, and processes meet user needs and follow their mental model and flow. Reduce development costs and ambiguity through understanding and testing.
Positiveness
Ensure applications, services, and processes are positive, intuitive experiences.
